You are invited to join Workforce Planning Hamilton and the Canadian Education and Research Institute for Counselling (CERIC) to view the documentary film, Redirection: Work and Later Life Career Development Project and find out how you can use the film’s companion guide to help your clients.
Funded by CERIC and led by Dr. Suzanne L. Cook from York University the study examines career shifts, transition and occupational change in later life.
The film shares the stories of five people, over 50, who successfully changed their occupations.
After viewing the film we’ll go over the companion guide to find out how you can use both the film and the guide with your clients. The film is designed to stimulate discussion about the themes and issues surrounding later life career shifts, work options and transition pathways.
During the event you’ll have lots of time for networking, enjoying light refreshments and discussing the film with your peers and with Dr. Cook.
Please join us for an afternoon that will benefit both you and your clients.
