Workforce Planning Hamilton is excited to invite you to join us on an upcoming Youth Labour Forum taking place on May 2, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
This forum will bring together Hamilton youth, employers, community organizations, and policymakers to discuss the challenges young people face when entering the workforce in Hamilton. In an increasingly competitive job market, younger job seekers are finding it more difficult to secure meaningful employment.
The event aims to:
- Kick off a larger conversation on youth employment challenges in Hamilton.
- Gather qualitative data on youth experiences with job searching and employment programs.
- Equip organizations with youth-driven insights to improve programming and service delivery.
- Provide policymakers with valuable perspectives as they shape youth employment policies.
How the Conference Will Work:
The event will begin with a presentation of key employment data, including statistics on youth employment in Hamilton. Attendees will then engage in facilitated discussions, where youth, community partners, and employers will work together to address critical questions and co-create solutions for the barriers youth face in today’s job market.
